However, as a road cyclist (and thus someone who spends up to 9-10 hours in the saddle, on occasion! it's also an incredibly effective pre- and post-ride moisturiser for the prevention and treatment, if necessary of saddle sores, for both guys and girls. Nothing else quite comes close - indeed, most commercial cycling products "chamois cremes") contain some shea butter, but you might as well do it properly and use the pure stuff, it's far better! CLEANSING OIL: I have never heard of the OCM before trying this oil. The first time I used it I was shocked to see how it quickly removed make up and dirt! L'OLIO HAIR FOOD: I hide this oil from friends and family because it is that good!! It must be the sapote but I've never seen my hair get so soft after a few drops. I usually use it as a leave-in oil and I can't help touching my hair the entire day.

I've been using the [Asantewaa] leave-in conditioner as a pre-shampoo conditioner, and it leaves my hair really soft and light. Being oil-based, I suspected that it would be too heavy to leave in my very fine, only slightly curly hair; I used to use a Body Shop brazil nut oil hair mask before I shampoo - instead of conditioning afterwards - but I've caught the natural bug now, and your conditioner works wonderfully but without all the nasty synthetics. I simply dollop it onto dry hair, comb it through, wait 20 minutes and then shampoo. I also like the idea of the sapote oil and the fact that it's supposed to help falling hair - something else I have a problem with! Plus I find the peppermint oil very invigorating on the scalp and it smells wonderful. The texture is very much like a moisturising cream, rather than gloopy or runny, which makes it a pleasure to use.

Both my mother and I adore the Papaya Soap. It gently lifts grime and dead skin cells to leave a softer, fresher complexion without drying.
The Amazonian Soap is also a real winner. It looks and smells wonderful and leaves my hands beautifully clean and soft, even in the cold weather.
The Monoi Soap is definitely a favourite. The scent is absolutely gorgeous without being overpowering and leaves skin soft and moisturised.

I am so grateful for the vosheam face cream, whipped shea butter and the shea olea soap! These 3 products have simplified my routine immensely. My skin has been suffering from dryness and alot of flaking for the last 10 years and this condition worsened during my pregnancy. I am using the shea olea soap on my sensitive dry skin - from head to toe. I have never found a soap gentle and rich enough to handle both my face and body! I love the fact that the soap doesn't lather but feels like cream when it comes into contact with wet skin. After using the vosheam and the whipped shea butter the flaking is gone! I have tried several creams but none have been able to eliminate both the dryness and the flaking. My skin is back to being smooth and bright.
I am addicted to the shea butter sugar scrub - the creamy consistency, lovely - subtle scent and the gentle scrubbing effect are perfection. My skin is left exfoliated and moisturized in one step! The akuaba body oil is a true godsend and has made my "baby - belly" silky soft! I love the fact that even though it is rich - it easily absorbs leaving you with glowing skin. When I feel like a vanilla coco pick me up - I use the crem du cupuaçu. The consistency is light and silky with the added bonus of the scent helping fend of my chocolate cravings!

I was a bit intrigued by the Sankofa Cream as it is a very thick texture - not really like a cream but it melted as soon as it touched my skin. I have been using this one at night.

I used the hair butter to do a headful of twists. Again you have created a product that doesn't behave like a traditional butter in that it not only has great hold, making my twists neat, but also was very moisturising and melted almost immediately on contact with the section of hair I was twisting. That's one annoying thing about some butters, that (due probably to a high melting point) when they are first applied they leave a white residue in the hair until the temperature increases to a level where it melts, but I like to be able to do my twists and go, not worrying about white bits in my hair, so your hair butter is ideal. I have very curly, coarse red hair. I have always found it difficult to get products that keep the curl in my hair without leaving it feeling stiff and dry. The Rosemary leave-in conditioner is fantastic, it leaves my hair with defined curls, but also feeling soft and looking shiny. My 16 year old daughter also uses it, she also has curly hair, which she keeps short. She finds the conditioner stops her hair from frizzing, so she can style it.

I think you have a great formula for this butter as I think it's difficult to get the richness and moisturisation of a butter without the downside of a greasy residue, it's like a balancing act. I had been using face creams from large branded companies (mainly Clarins) and they were very costly and did nothing for my complexion after many years of exclusive use.

In my opinion, the products from Sheabutter Cottage are, by far and large, the best I have ever used. Each one of them comes with its own evident skin properties, its own smell and texture. I tried the African black soap and ... I am not sure why I keep making soap myself as opposed to buy if from you (well, I know why: it's because of the exorbitant shipping costs in Europe). Incidentally, I tried the Amla powder and I have to give you that it's an outstanding hair conditioner, which I prefer over henna because a) it doesn't stain grey hair and b) it's much easier to remove. I opened the box and was happy to see my products and elated to see the big tub (1.25 KG) of my coconut oil. True heaven in a tub ,I held you to your word and ate some. Hmmm lovely, this lady does not lie, her coconut oil is

Sheabutter, I had used some other sheabutter previously and I would
immediately start to itch or the smell alone would let me know it was a no-go

I would just like to thank you for introducing us to such brilliant natural products. I tried your Shea Butter last year and it didn't seem to suit me at the time (or so I thought!) My 30 something daughter had a really recalcitrant verruca on the sole of her foot for two years and had many sorts of treatment from chiropodists and her doctor, none of which worked. (In fact some were quite painful). I suggested that she put [unrefined]
Shea butter on it and cover it with a dressing. She did this and within seven
days the wart had TOTALLY died off and came out of her foot leaving clear new
skin behind, without any discomfort whatsoever. I like to think that the
[unrefined] Shea butter cured it, as I have found that many scars become less
visible and scratches etc., heal very quickly when it is used on a regular

I have been suffering with a very itchy scalp for some time and done all the usual things.. changed my shampoo, washed my hair more, washed my hair less and then a friend mentioned to me that I should try African Black Soap as a shampoo.. Well, what can I say, its a revelation. I now wash my hair just twice a week and rinse with a very weak vinegar mixture afterwards and my hair condition and my scalp have improved beyond recognition. No more itchy scalp, what a relief. As an experiment I washed my hair just once with my normal shampoo.. which is 70% organic, and almost immediately I was scratching again. African Black Soap has truly been a godsend for my head.

Although I suffer from psoriasis my skin has never been particularly irritated or sore so I ordered the African Black soap purely out of curiosity. But I have to say there is a quite noticeable improvement in the dryness and the patches are much smoother after just one week.
